Affirmative Action Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to set a formal commitment statement on the University’s practice of affirmative action. 

Scope

This is an institution-wide policy, affecting academic staff, administrative staff, students as well as the Trustees of the University.

This is the University policy. 

Compliance/Policy Statement 

Parami University is committed to ensuring equal opportunity and nondiscrimination in all of its institutional and academic practices, without regard to race, color, sex, pregnancy, religion, creed, national origin (including ancestry), citizenship status, physical or mental disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, status as transgender or gender transitioning, predisposing genetic characteristics, domestic violence victim status, or any other protected category under applicable local, state, or federal law. This policy is to be applied across all activities including 1) trustee issues, such as nomination, selection, extension and termination, 2) student affairs such as admission, financial aid, student support services, and 3) employment issues such as hiring, supervision, promotion, and termination. 

Review

The Board of Trustees is responsible for ensuring compliance with this policy in various offices of the University.
